“Deshabandu (දේශබන්දු) – Class I” award bestowed on him by His Excellency R. Premadasa, President of Sri Lanka on 22nd May 1990, in recognition of the services rendered to the Sri Lankan business community and specially to the Ayurveda industry.
Vishva Prasadini” (විශ්ව ප්රසාදිනී) title was conferred by the Hon. Prime Minister, Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike in April 1996, to honour his contribution and services to the Industrial Sector of Sri Lanka.
“Shahassrabisheka Waidyasuri” (ශහස්ස්රාභිෂේක වෛද්යසූරී) award conferred by Minister of Health, Nutrition and Welfare, one out of 100 best Ayurvedic Physicians of the Century who have rendered yeomen services to the Nation in 2000.
“Rohana Pradeepa” (රෝහණ ප්රදීප) - award bestowed by University of Ruhuna on 11th September 2003 in recognition of his contribution towards the upliftment of the Indigenous System of Medicine, as well as the social and economic conditions in Sri Lanka.
“The Best Sri Lankan Entrepreneur” – was awarded to Deshabandu Dr.Victor Hettigoda in 2006 by Grid India Foundation – Mumbai.The Grid India Foundation recognized Dr.Hettigoda for his excellent contribution to Sri Lankan business sector and his extraordinary entrepreneurial and leadership skills. He is the only Sri lankan business leader to receive the award from Grid India Foundation.
“Mahaveli Randiyawara” (මහවැලි රන්දියවර) title awarded in April 1998 by the Association of United Engineers of the Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka in recognition of the valuable services rendered to the nation.
Vaidya Vidya Ratna Vibhushana” (වෛද්ය විද්යා රත්න විභූෂණ) honorary title conferred in December 1998 by Vidyalankara Pirivena, Kelaniya for his contributions to Ayurveda Industry and achievements in getting into the International Market.
Vishvakeerthi Manawa Hithawadi Deshamanya” (විශ්වකීර්ති මානව හිතවාදී දේශමාන්ය) conferred by the Sri Jayewardenapura Guna Samaru Padanama in December 2000, in recognition of the services rendered to the society to uplift the national, religious, social, cultural and educational activities.
“Honorary Ayurveda Vishwa Panditha” conferred by Samastha Lanka Ayurveda Waidya Sammelanaya (Federation of Sri Lanka Ayurveda Physician) in recognition of his contribution to the field of Indigenous Medicine of Sri Lanka.
“Sarvodaya National Award” conferred by the Sarvodaya Trust Fund one of the leading charitable organizations.
Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the year 2000 - Bronze Medals for Western Province and for the Whole Island - awarded by the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Sri Lanka, in recognition of the Best Procedures adopted to enhance the performance in the Industrial Sector of Sri Lanka.
“Professor” - Faculty of Medical Studies - Medicinal Alternative - Institute affiliated to the Open University of Complimentary Medicines - conferred the title “Professor” at the Ceremony held at BMICH on 29 November 2002.
“Keerthi Shri” (කීර්ති ශ්රී) - All Island Society of Justice of the Peace Association in December 2002 conferred the title “Keerthi Shri” and awarded a Gold Medal in commemoration of his dedicated services to the Cultural, Religious and Social Services in Sri Lanka.
“Desha Dharshi” (දේශ දර්ශී) - honorary award conferred by the Colombo Children’s Book Society of UNESCO in August 2003.
To honour the service rendered to the Buddhism, The All island Buddhist Convention conferred a special award in 2004.
He was honored with the prestigious national title “Deshabhimani Randiriya” in 2006.
“The Degree of Doctor of Literature” honorary title was conferred by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in September 2017.
“Balm King of Sri Lanka” - The Asia Week in its December 1989 Issue recognised the efforts and contribution made to the Ayurveda Industry by naming him as the “Balm King of Sri Lanka”.
“One of the 50 Greatest Sri Lankans since Independence” - Lanka Monthly Digest February 1998 Issue selected him as “One of the 50 Greatest Sri Lankans since Independence” for his efforts and contributions to the Business Community.
“King of the Masses” - In its issue of June 1998, the Lanka Monthly Digest named him as “King of the Masses” in honour of his achievements in building a Multi-Million Rupee empire with Rs 2,500/- borrowed from a relative in 1971.
“The Barefoot Doctor” - Asian Business Magazine in their July 2000 issue named him as “The Barefoot Doctor”.
